Luis A Jazz Bio
As a minister and musician Luis has traveled the world with some of music’s greats. Luis has performed with such amazing secular artists as Anita Baker and George Duke and contemporary Christian artist like Don Moen and Spanish platinum artist Renan Carias.
From an early age Luis began to study piano and later sax and by age 12 began to perform with his church praise and worship team. Early on Luis displayed an uncanny ability to perform and solo beyond his years.
After high school Luis joined the Air Force as part of the Security Forces units but continued to develop his talent and even toured the world with the United States Air Force Tops in Blue. Later he performed with many of the artists that performed in Germanywhile he was stationed there.
Upon separating from the Air Force Luis continued a career as a Federal Agent and performing and even touring for short terms with many artists. His ability to moves the listener with his solo made him a highly sought talent and frequently asked to record a solo album.
In late 2010 Luis began ministering as a solo artist and signed
with the Tate Music record label bringing a blend of old classics hymns to new contemporary hits and fusing them with unexpected styles that reflect his experiences as a musician and Latin culture. Mixing Cuban rhythms with gospel and even pop rock, Luis is praising the Lord with the beats of his heart and giant sound of his saxophone and the congregations love it.
Luis will have a solo album completed by late 2011 and early 2012 under the Tate Music label. But till then he continues to bring amazing performances to congregations and audiences as his solo recognition grows.
